My Final Work

German Rebellion

An image designed representing the German Rising. Here is an image which represents Hitler as the leader towards the rise of the Nazis. The reason why I used the specific image of Hitler performing the Nazis sign was due to the fact that it resembles powerful actions. Blended into the image behind Hitler is an image of Nazis Donald Duck. I got this idea because my tutor mentioned in class of having cartoon characters. The only reason why I went ahead and added a cartoon character shadowing Hitler was because it resembles Hitler being a joke. Further on, I added a crowd of Hitler’s Nazis followers; the reason why I added them was to show the fact that their following a sadistic cartoon joke posing to lead Germany to rule the World! The process in producing this image was simple. All I had to do was add a range of different adjustments such as colour balance brightness and contrast and also adjusting the opacity and blending modes. It was a very simple process leading towards the creation of a powerful image.

Books Lie

Books lie is the title of one of Eduardo Recife’s work. What I did here was basically recreate his image to reflect upon the 21^st century political party. Although I left an original image of Abraham Lincoln in there, I added an image of Barack Obama, a Book and the illumanti sign. This image was supposed to represent the New World Order, and the fact that governments are a bag of lies! In producing this image, the technique which I practised was basically adding filters such as paint daubs.  Also fiddled with the opacity and blending mode to make the logos etc blend in nicely.

History is Revolution

Basically meaning that History is the uprising, the turning point, the people which lead to the development and transformation of the world. These people include characters such as William Shakespeare and Albert Einstein. This was a very simple image constructed in very few time. I did do many adjustments to the pictures here such as colour balance and black and white, etc. I also did the text myself and add a glow to make it look bit more creative and upper class. In my opinion, the text I think works very well!

I have a Dream…

Here is one of my favourite images which I have designed. It’s very striking and moving. I came to the conclusion of adding text because I thought by adding text I would be making my overall poster image striking. The reason why it would be striking is because it contains the repetition of the word

“Let freedom ring”. Some people may think what is the point of adding the statue of liberty to a poster of Martin Luther King. I simply reply that the speech which Mr King performed was to gain Black people rights, so by adding the statue of liberty, it basically performs the fact that everyone deserves freedom, right, independence and justice! No matter whom you are and what colour you are! This image was created by basically adjusting the brightness and contrast and colour balance of the image, and made the overall posterized in addition adding the filter film grain.

Tyrant or Dictator

This image is basically a question to the public. I was advised to do an image on Saddam Hussein by a friend, I took his advice, and this is what the end product was like. In my opinion, this must be one of my low class works for this project, although i did adjust many things, and added black and white effect it just does not seem to be as striking as my previous images.

Who will you vote for?

In England with the recent elections taking place, I decided to create a picture which is related to the elections. So this is my end product and it engages with the audience as it asks for the audience’s opinion on who they want to vote for. Again this has to be one of my low class works for this project. The reason why because I have not added many effects to these images, instead I have isolated them by making them black and white. One thing I like about this image is the title font; I think it’s very stylish.
